Dr. Adrienne Bonar successfully defends her dissertation!
Dr. Adrienne Bonar successfully defended her dissertation entitled “Effects of childhood threat exposure on neural representations of emotion.” We are so proud of the CASL’s newly minted PhD! Dr. Bonar will be a postdoc next year at The Ohio State University!
Ruofan Ma receives Searcy Fellowship
Ruofan Ma received the John Daniel Searcy Fellowship from the North Carolina Psychological Association. The Searcy Fellowship supports a student in their final years of doctoral training in clinical psychology. Congrats to Ruofan!
Dr. Frye gets hooded
Congrats to Dr. Natalie Frye, who was hooded during the doctoral hooding ceremony by Dr. Kristen Lindquist. Dr. Frye is embarking on a career in industry as a behavioral scientist. We’re sad to see her leave but excited to see what is next for her career!
Mariam Wahba Receives Award for Best Senior Honors Thesis
Senior Honors Thesis student, Mariam Wahba, receive the Dashiell-Thurstone Award for the Best Thesis in Psychology in the 2024-2025 year. Mariam’s thesis focused on how having a multi-cultural identity can prime cognitive flexibility by increasing creativity and emotion regulation success. Congrats, Mariam!
