Our recent paper, The Cultural Evolution of Emotion, appears on the cover of the November issue of Nature Reviews Psychology. The paper was written by CASL director Kristen Lindquist, CASL alum, Joshua Jackson, current CASl member Joseph Leshin and collaborators Ajay Satpute and Maria Gendron.

Dr. Jackson receives the SESP Dissertation Award!
Congrats to lab alumnus, Dr. Joshua Jackson, who received the 2022 Dissertation Award from the Society for Experimental Social Psychology. Dr. Jackson is a postdoctoral fellow at Northwestern University and will start as an Assistant Professor at the University of Chicago in fall 2023.
Joshua Jackson is named a SAGE Emerging Scholar
Dr. Joshua Jackson was named a SAGE emerging scholar by the Society for Personality and Social Psychology. The SAGE Emerging Scholar Award recognizes outstanding achievements by early-career PhD scholars in social and personality psychology, including contributions to teaching, research, or service to the field.
The CASL welcomes Dr. Mai Mikkelsen
The CASL welcomes Dr. Mai Mikkelsen, who is visiting from Aarhus University in Denmark. Dr. Mikkelsen is an expert on the role of the body in emotion and clinical disorders and will be collaborating with Dr. Lindquist and members of the CASL.

Jennifer MacCormack to give dissertation award address
Lab alumna, Dr. Jennifer MacCormack, will give an award address at the Society for Affective Science annual convention detailing her dissertation research. Dr. MacCormack received the SAS Best Dissertation Award in 2021. Dr. MacCormack will start as an Assistant Professor at the University of Virginia this summer. Check out her lab website here.
