The CASL is thrilled to welcome incoming graduate student, Yuritza Escalante, who will be joining us from UC Irvine, where she is currently a Junior Research Specialist in the Yassa Lab. Yuritza is interested in pursuing research on the brain basis of emotion and she learned today that she is a recipient of the prestigious National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship! Ruofan Ma receives P.E.O. International scholarship!
Graduate student Ruofan Ma is the recipient of the P.E.O. International scholarship. The P.E.O. Scholar Awards (PSA) was established in 1991 to provide substantial merit-based awards for women of the U.S. and Canada who are pursuing a doctoral-level degree at an accredited college or university.

Dr. Kristen Lindquist officially became the President of the Society for Affective Science. She will serve as President from March, 2024-2025.

Graduate student Ruofan Ma received a Graduate Student Research grant from the Love Consortium to work in collaboration with Dr. Emily Impett from the University of Toronto examining the role of physiological linkage in close relationships.
