If you discover that you are experiencing stress, feelings of being overwhelmed, anxiety or panic, depression, academic distress, or if you are just in need of support and counseling, there are services that can help:
General Resources
Department of Psychology Community Clinic. Offers adult psychotherapy for UNC students, staff, and individuals from NC. Reduced fees are offered based on income. Clinics are strictly appointment based and will not accept walk-ins. Resources for UNC Students
UNC’s Student Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). Services are free, and can even be accessed without an appointment. Contact them on Monday - Thursday between 9:00 am - 12:00 pm or 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm, and Friday between 9:30 am - 12:00 pm or 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Sexual Assault Response. Campus Health offers a variety of options for services for sexual assault survivors and will let the survivor decide which options they would like to pursue. Campus Health has Nurse Practitioners and a Registered Nurse trained as Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE) on staff and available between 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. M-F. To review your options for care, call 919-966-6577 or go directly to Gynecology located on the third floor of Campus Health as soon as possible after a sexual assault.
